More about the Archetype

Unknown Man: Fascinating. So this is what an Archetype is. Who did you say she was? A supposed hero?

Unknown Woman 1: That's what I heard. What do you think?

UM: It is identical to a real person in nearly every way, but the heart is the actual magic item with the body being built around it. Normal bodily functions seem to be taking place, but instead of food it's consuming magic to operate.

They seem incapable of speech, but its not because they lack organs.

Unknown Woman 2: The magic item itself was constructed with the capabilities to NOT learn the voice of the being it is copying. Strangely enough, their creator understood the ramifications of mass producing artificial life.

UM: or its because it lessens the burden on the Kaleidoscope, allowing for faster mass-production while decreasing the amount of their personality is transferred from the Plane of Memories. When you're summoning heroes from history, chances are they're gonna rebel against your cause.

UW 1: I have details about the Artifice Ore right here. They only samples we have of the Archetype are this lady we retrieved right here and th---

UM: Hold that thought, tell me about the ore instead.

UW 1: Oh yeah, sure. Well we know that in the realm of Gaia, they had a war between their Pantheon, Aboleths and their Elder Evil master referred to as The Infinite. Their earth was infused with divine energy from the series of powerful magical attacks exchanged, and overtime clustered chunks were either solidified like an ore or crystalized. Once the ore is smelted, the metal it forms is called Architect, but the crystal is still referred to as Artifice.

The metal is then used in the construction of The Archetype but the methods are unknown and as far as we can tell, it is impossible for us to recreate it.

Additionally, we do know their sun is about 2.7 times hotter than ours, so their Sun Forge also functions at a far greater temperature.

Unlike Lathandar or Pelor, their Sun deity is very alive in a physical body. The story is unrelated so I'll leave it for now.

Back to the Archetype itself. It does use "The Concept of Self" ("Draconic Power") to transfer energy from the weave around it into the mind, body and soul of the constructed individual. The Archetype is a creation of pure divine energy which makes this energy transfer so efficient it is completely self-reliant.

It's the purity of this divine energy that determines it's power ranging from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Super Super Rare, and Ultra Rare.

The ones we have are considered UR, or Ultra Rare and even their purity is 90%. There's most certainly unforeseeable consequences for having a higher percentage of purity, especially if a creator who refers to themselves as "Greed" chose to not to indulge.

Once a person is constructed, there is absolutely no going back, and if one is killed, it can't be revived even if the core remains intact.

The process of creation is fairly automated, you just need to follow this 99 page Pamphlet.

(Unfolds monstrosity).

The final step is to just kickstart it as an Action using a cantrip or equivalent magic for those rated Common. For each rarity higher, a spell of 1st level or higher is required respectively.

The body constructs itself around the core and immediately goes into action following instructions given as a Bonus Action.

What the hell is an Action and a Bonus Action? Whatever.

UW 2: So it "reads" memories from The Kaleidoscope and stores everything available. Making a near identical replica. Its not a perfect Replica because history is always muddled with unanswered holes, but the type of magic being used allows it fill those holes with details from legends, rumors, possibly even falsehoods surrounding their identity. That's pretty neat.

UM: Neat is an understatement. The agreement can be fulfilled now so we should get back to work. The time is quickly approaching.
