A pair of rings with a purple lightning motif and an older tarnished side and a newer silver side.
Psychic link. While two Intelligent creatures are wearing these rings, while holding the ring against their temple the other of the pair of creatures is aware of how far away the other is and in what direction (the GM describes how) they are also, aware if the other one is lying, in pain, and their mood in general. (this doesn't make you feel what they feel only are aware of how they feel)
Mote of Memory. As a bonus action, or action, either creature may store a memory, feeling, or small message (25 words or less) in the psychic space held between the two rings, then either creature may remove and receive that stored thought as a free action. (only one of these maybe stored at a time.)
Mote of Magic. While the ring's mote slot is empty, you may times a day equal your proficiency spend a spell slot to put a spell of any level equal or below your proficiency modifier in the space shared between the rings. Then as an action if the rings are within 60ft of each other, either creature may remove that spell from rings and gain that spell, if they have had spells of that level already. Otherwise they may fill a slot of the highest level they have available. If the spell isn't cast within an hour you either lose that spell or it becomes a blank slot of an equal level. At dawn any spell that was stored in this pair of rings is emptied out.
