The Lost Children

A society spread far and wide, who constantly travels with no destination in mind. Unlike migrating communities, these people never stay together long, they don't have a set path nor a schedule. They wander seemingly aimless, but they do have a goal, to meet the Saint of the Lost and join them.

Who

The Lost Children are individuals who are often grief-stricken, whether from loss, depression, emotional turmoil, or a variety of other reasons. These people cannot find a purpose to live, but don't want to die; so they begin to search.

Where

While a good portion of these individuals come from huge settlements and populated areas, the overwhelming majority are in small and often unknown villages and rural spots.   There is no set location these people are supposed to live, though most of them travel along the southern coast of Union as a way to imitate the life and travels of Vavarin.

Why

People learn of Vavarin's ideology and following either before or in the middle and a major turning point in their lives, many will find that her story speaks to them, but few actually get the courage to act on it. Often times this key decision is made on pure impulse, it acts as a way to distance oneself from whatever situation has overwhelmed them, and it forces them to deal with the choices they make.

Effects

One unexpected side effect of this newfound phenomenon is the number of people reported missing has decreased at a steady rate over the years. Of those that have been reported missing, if they are spotted along the southern coast of Union no one tends to pay it any attention.   Another is an increase in poaching, especially in forested areas and winter seasons.
Listen while you read, imagine getting lost in the calm nature of the Southern Union coasts!
