Sverige

A small kingdom in Auferetu famous for mining the unusual Moons-stone material used in divine potions and ceremonies. Since their main concern is mining, they have little resources used for farming or fishing and often have to resort to trading with other kingdoms for food and goods. Because they make their living from mining Middle Ground, they are a leading voice for Auferetu in the Auferetu v. Veritas conflict.
They once supplied the Paragons of Virtue and, subsequently, all of their bases. This relationship ended after the first skirmish between Auferetu and Veritas when Sverige made it clear their stance on the mountain and wildlife therein, which directly conflicted the Paragons' beliefs and way of life. After the fallout, Sverige was in desperate need for income and supplies and opened their trade to parties outside of the island, this move would be the beginning of the opening of Tod as a whole.
Sverige is much smaller than its neighbor kingdom-states in Auferetu, as many workers live together near the mines while their families often manage small properties away from the mines. The homes for miners resemble that of bunkers or long-houses, with beds/storage lining the walls and open space in the center, kitchens, and bathrooms placed on separate levels. Often times multiple families will create a complex to make managing children and essential chores easier, a family member will be in charge of taking care of babies while another teaches those old enough the basics. Some are assigned to cooking, cleaning, repairing, or working other smaller jobs in the kingdom.
