Gamberwolf
Even bigger than a Direwolf, Gamber wolves put most bears to shame in their stature. Unlike smaller wolves, they are generally solitary in nature. Although it is not unheard of for them to form into small packs to combine their efforts when food is scarce.
Unfortunately for most, Gamberwolves specialise in hunting prey smaller than them. Luckily though they will generally go for creatures that do not give them too much trouble and solitary members are unusually easily deterred for a creature of their size. A group of these wolves if far harder to hassle out of a potential meal.
