Agrigaed

"The sun directly behind it there it was. The Body of a man perched upon an equine frame. It reared off shortly after. The sun leaving nothing but a silhouette on my horizon."

Agrigaed are created from a merger of animal and humanoid features. Most commonly this takes to form of a humanoid upper body perched upon that of an animal;, though this is not always the case. Sometimes this can even be the reverse of these features, along with many other possible combinations.
The two disparate forms are not a natural state of being, often being the result of a curse or surges of magic. Over time the animalistic part of the body will take over, eventually rendering the creature nothing more than a particularly long-lived animal. The only real way to avert this is to spend time amongst humanoid compony, as it seems to fight off and even reverse some of these effects. While it is near impossible for a creature with this effect upon them to retain an entirely humanoid form, they can drift quite far towards one. But an Agrigaed that has completely fallen to an entirely bestial form can never be returned back to anything but an animal.
It is hard to categorise this as either a blessing or a curse; Being an Agrigaed grant the affected a wide variety of powerful features that most creatures are unable to gain access to. However, the looming threat of irreversible animal transformation is quite a serious one and not to be taken lightly.
