Order of the Fallen Sky

The Order of the Fallen Sky worships the Goddess of the first Fey, who they simply refer to as "the Lady"

Mythology & Lore

Legend says that in life the Lady of the Fallen Sky was a goddess of the first fey, who sculpted the feywild and gave life to the creatures there. She spent countless millennia perfecting and protecting her land, and when she felt satisfied that her children could carry on without her, she settled to rest. Years without her created a yearning in the feywild and a fall of tears that never quieted, it falls upon her still and nourishes the land around the Grove.
The order believes that the lady took her final rest on an island in the center of "the lady's basin" a lake in Alderglass.

Cosmological Views

The Lady, they believe, was among the first gods of Ukor. They believe that once the mortal gods began stepping away from their creations that she sculpted the main continent of Ukor to be a haven for her children. When the mortals stole the land, she created the feywild and kept her children safe from their reach.

Tenets of Faith

  • To uphold the oath of true druidism and respect the power and sanctity of nature
  • To respect the wisdom of the lady's children whether they be large or small
  • To serve the lady should she one day awaken from slumber

Ethics

The Order believes in the natural sanctity of all life, because of this they put great emphasis on creating and lifting up communities through druidism. It is not uncommon for those of the order to be pacifists, or at the very least to avoid violence unless truly necessary.

Worship

The Aidlamkava trees, believed to be the souls of the lady's children put to rest, serve as spiritual guides for members of the order. Often the members will be found sitting in quiet meditation at their base, speaking in a silent communication with them. In addition to this they participate in group prayer at the rising of dawn each day within their temple, before setting about their daily tasks.

Priesthood

The Priests of the Order have a hierarchy that is somewhat determined by the nature of the Guide that has chosen the Druid. Valar Kelfir is the current High Priest of the order as he was chosen by Arael who seems to lead all the other trees. His second in command is currently Uriysis whose guide is a tree named Thalani.

Granted Divine Powers

Once chosen by a guide, those of the order don't require the use of a "speak with plants" spell to communicate with their guide. [They do require it for all other plants including Aidlamkava trees]. A guide has the ability to provide a boon to the Druid they've connected with, this can change depending on the guide.

Political Influence & Intrigue

The Order is a unique religion unto Alderglass and has no known influence outside of it. Due to the extent that Alderglass weaves its architecture into the natural surroundings as well as the proximity of the Aidlamkava Trees, the order is consulted on matters of agriculture as well as actions taken upon the grove.
