Seeker's Reach

A monastery that offers shelter from the elements and hungry mountain predators, and provides ancestral counsel. It is the only inhabited location along the Iron Road between Kidwell and Sentinel Fortress. Its current Zen Master is Han Kanlee.

Seeker’s Reach is located at a location that intrepid and lucky explorers found generations ago and in the times of the ancient Fultonian empire was a military fort and outpost. Prior to being inhabited by Fultar, it was a dwarven stronghold destroyed eons ago by circumstances and forces long forgotten by humans.

It was re-discovered about 150 years ago by a Zen Master Monk, Po Kanlee, from the far eastern lands of Kara-Tur. Since being refounded by Po Kanlee, generations of students learned the Zen Master’s religious and martial techniques of the Order of the Five Elements or Wu Fenzi style of meditation and fighting. Legend has it that Po Kanlee fled from an Eastern monastery whose monks became corrupted while plumbing the depths of their self. Like a suppurating wound, this spiritual infection spread throughout the monastery twisting its victims into beings of pure evil, manifesting their desires on the land’s inhabitants in forms too depraved to mention. Po and four initiates proved immune to the corruption and in a flurry of fists and sheer will, seized the Order of the Five Elements sacred texts and religious objects, including the sacred Five Elements Brazier of Knowledge, razed the monastery and fled west toward Fultar eventually finding refuge in Seeker’s Reach.

Either due to magic or the strength of his faith, Po Kanlee continues to reside at Seeker’s Reach and provide spiritual guidance to the current Zen Master.

The monastery trains Shukenja, including Lin Zenhi.
