Vulkan
Vulkan was born with Thanandar, also of the Great Cataclysm, though the differences in the two gods' aspects have been chalked up to being born of the ichor of two of the different Anfangsir.
History
Vulkan is thought to be born of Ild's ichor, and his form hewn out of the plane Mitvort as it was being created. He is also thought to have a strong connection to the metals of Mitvort which are notably absent in Baladen.
Vulkan and Thanandar fought frequently when they were immature gods, though the significant clashes numbered only four. In the first, Vulkan flooded Mitvort with its own sort of ichor, the magma flowing beneath its lands, as he clashed with his sister upon the ground. In the second, Vulkan was utterly thrashed by Thanandar as she created a storm from flooded Baladen to quench the fire of Mitvort and then sent Vulkan to the ground harshly enough that the ocean was carved into the stone. In the third battle, though Vulkan was grounded hard enough that the continents split, a victory was won in the eruption of the mountains across the land, which injured Thanandar into retreat. The fourth fight threatened to rip the very core of the planes to shreds, and Ikthun was sent to ease tensions or at the worst, prevent further chaos. The barrier Ikthun had to put up became the ice sheet at the pole of Mitvort and the ice wall of Baladen.
Modern Day
In the age of mortals, Vulkan has become a symbol not just of volcanoes, but of the forge, as his connection to both heat and metals has led to his connection, by the mortals to the forge, and he has realized that aspect after some years of this worship. Vulkan is primarily popular in Azendale, but is also often worshipped in parts of Inverus.
