Eliser
The Undying Eliser
A Force of Indomitable Spirit
Eliser is a former mortal who ascended to godhood when, after falling in battle, she fought her way out of Sturt to continue her life's journey on Mitvort. This spirit is what Eliser embodies in the ideal, though practically, her commitment to sustaining and returning life even after someone has died is her daily impact on the world.
Early Life
Birth
Born to the cheiftains of a nomadic tribe in the land that would eventually become Walzbin, Eliser was considered unremarkable as an infant. She did not exhibit particular proficiency with nature magic that was popular with her clan, and was often kept from activities with other infants as her parents tried to keep her safe with her limited faculties.
Childhood
Eliser grew up somewhat of a social outcast as a result of her forced recusal from childhood activities which worsened as she was kept from the responsibilities of gathering given to the children around age 7 in the group. In the time that she was unable to perform normal activities, Eliser honed her abilities with weapons and began trying to channel her very lifeforce into a different sort of magic to compensate.
Adulthood
Once she hit the age of majority for her people, Eliser undertook an Iterun a journey prescribed by the laws of the tribe which was to deepen her connection to the natural world and increase her prowess against beasts and monsters which occasionally beset her encampments. During this journey, Eliser gained a network outside of her tribe which drew her to extend her Iterun further.
Adventuring Career
Over the next decade, Eliser would rid large swaths of the continent Vequist of monster infestations, at times against long odds. As her fame grew, so did the challenges presented to her by desperate peoples around the continent, and greater grew her wounds after each battle. Several times over the years did those few who fought beside her and lived comment that she had taken injuries enough to fell men twice her size and simply decided she would not perish.
Death and Ascension
Eliser, at the height of her adventuring fame, would be tasked with the slaying of a dragon and the return of its hoard to the villagers who hired her. The information she had was incomplete for this particular task, though and there were, uncommonly, two dragons cohabitating with a shared hoard. The second dragon returned just as Eliser had gained the upper hand against the initial dragon, and the surprise attack combined with two high-powered quarries proved too much for her abilities alone.
The inhabitants of the village that hired her would report seeing a flash of radiant light from the mountain the dragons were inhabiting, an earthshaking roar and then dead silence. By some vast act of magic, Eliser had burned her very life force to vaporize everything alive in that mountain. Over the next half-century, Eliser would burn a path of carnage through Sturt by sheer force of will to force her way back to the mortal plane, reappearing inside the very mountain she had perished in and wandering to the village which remained next to it to settle down.
Eliser's ascension would come not long after, as Tinados is never lost for long when tracking a spirit in need of his services. The god-to-be confronted them as they crossed the threshold of her home, one of the few living mortals to ever look upon Tinados without being granted to, and negotiated her passage into the heavens as a patron god of life itself.
