Wanderer's Guide to Lume

Written by Imperial historian Amrynn Leoris, the Wanderer's Guide to Lume details his travels across the world. Filled with historical records, personal accounts, and more, it is an essential book for any traveler.

Excerpts

If you find your way across the seas to Sundercrag, find time to visit the Six Cities of Dhelboran. Ancient even by Sunderian standards, the Six Cities are a literal beacon in a shattered land.
The six shining towers there were forged by powerful and forgotten magics, and are a sight to behold. The light of the moons is dwarfed - pun not intended - by the light given off by these dwarven structures, and even the sun can seem dim by comparison.
I would caution against travel into the The Rift of Twisting Stones, however. Though tempting, do not let the thrill of adventure dull your good judgement. Within lies a darkness born of hate and jealousy, and for every tale of riches found there are tenfold more of death and despair.

My trip to the Meltwater Archipelago began with such high hopes. But by the time I landed in Port Imoth, I realized how badly I’d underestimated the raw power of the Everstorm.
There, smothering the horizon, was a swirling mass of howling winds and biting cold. I’d heard stories of course, tales of how it blanked the land in eternal winter, but to witness it myself…I digress.
The people of Myrall are a mighty sort to live in such conditions. More impressive still are those who brave the Everstorm’s wrath in search of ancient treasures turned up by the fresh-tossed snow. I had thought to try it myself, but now I think I’ll opt to remain in port instead.
