Sundercrag

Far to the west of Gracia, across the Cobalt Tides, are the ravaged lands of Sundercrag. Thought to be the birthplace of civilization, it was devastated in the battles between the gods during the Second Age of Destruction. The once-pristine landscapes are now torn and scarred, particularly around the Six Cities of Dhelboran, which circle The Rift of Twisting Stones. From here stretch numerous valleys, canyons, and ravines within which huddle isolated settlements. While kingdoms rise in Sundercrag it is not long before they fall, and only the Six Cities have managed to create lasting order in this chaotic land.

Northern Sundercrag

The alpine lands of northern Sundercrag are home to vast Gnoll tribelands. These loosely-united tribes make up the largest organization on the continent and have seen the rise and fall of many kingdoms, some of which were felled by them. Despite their poor reputation, a gnoll's behavior can vary widely from tribe to tribe. Some tribes trade regularly with more civilized lands, while others bolster their forces with dark magics.

Southern/Western Sundercrag

The lands to the south and west are sparsely populated, with little more than small towns and villages scattered within the mountainous terrain. These settlements answer to none but themselves as they eke out a living in a harsh land. Throughout history, some city-states have risen to prominence, but few manage to endure for more than a few centuries.

Central Sundercrag

Central Sundercrag is home to the Six Cities of Dhelboran, the greatest power on the continent. Built after the final wish of a dying god, the Six Cities uphold a religious mandate to seal away the darkness within the Rift of Twisting Stones.
