Kari is Shion's older sister. She is the first-born daughter of Eira and Somena. Well, that's what they want you to think. Eira and Somena aren't Kari's parents. Her mother was Eira's cousin, Velora and her father is a Chinese/afro botanist. Eira poisoned Velora then stole Kari, posing as her mother. This means Nami is her half-sister and Shion isn't even her blood sister, only legal sisters. She is also dating a boy who had younger twin brothers that were adopted by Somena's brother and wife.

On March 28, 2002, Kari was born the daughter of Velora Hamasaki and Marshall Luo. Before Kari was born, Velora became a single mother because Marshall broke up with her. A week later, Eira poisoned Velora, then stole Kari, adopting her as her own daughter. Kari kept her mother's last name even though Eira and Somena's are different.
Education
Kari attends Twilight Academy but plans on going to a fancy preparatory High school. She used to attend Shirogane Gakuen with her sisters, the same school Shadow and Eclipse went to. Kari is in the same grade as Shadow.
