Tik'wal

Tik'wal lies on the banks of the river Uldin close to where it meets the smaller river of Weldach. There lies a ford through the river Uldin and close by a ford through the Weldach river, thus caravans from the northern realms on their way to the south as well as those from the rich mines at the Eastern Wall often came to cross the rivers here and the local population took the opportunity presented to them.

Tik'wal is often called the "White Pearl of the Plains" because of the material used to build its walls and most of its houses.
It started out as a small settlement to make pottery and other utilities from the special clay found there, called the "Pearly Clay". This clay is also used extensively in almost all building endeavours started here. Especially in coating all of the exterior walls of Tik'wal.

Demographics

Tik'wal is a town of human origin and that is still pretty much true today. The majority of the population is made up of humans.

The non human populations have setteled in wards of their own, even if the town's Elders often try to discourage that because they believe that will encourage even more trade.
