Vestitas
Vestitas, also known as "The Lone Desert" or "Desert of Death" is an inhospitable Desert Island right on the equator.
There is hardly any flora or fauna to be found. Only a handful of species are able to survive here and the hardiest of cacti.
Long ago it was used as a penal colony. Because of the harsh conditions, none of the prisoners survived.
The island is avoided by all, even by the most ruthless pirates.
Legend goes that The Dark Pirate once buried a massive treasure here, but no one has survived long enough to find it. Not only is it almost impossible to find, but rumor goes it is cursed and haunted.
Geography
Sand and dunes are everywhere. Here and there are some rock formations where shadow can be found, but even in the shadow it is still warm.
Ecosystem
Not many living organisms can be found here and it is very much survival of the fittest.
Localized Phenomena
There are sandstorms that constantly ravage this big island.
Fauna & Flora
Only five kinds of cacti and three kinds of animals are able to survive the harsh conditions of Vestitas.
The animals are the Red Scorpion, the Yellow Viper, and the Vampire Mouse. All three live off of each other and they only appear on Vestitas. They are very sought after in the illegal animal trade. All are venomous, even the mouse, and they are able to kill a humanoid with one bite.
History
Not much is known about the history of this island.
Years ago it was used as a penal colony and you knew that if you were sent there, you would never return.
Hundreds of prisoners have passed away on the island.
There is a small monument dedicated to them on the north beach.
