House Ventrus is one of the oldest yet most secretive houses in the empire. Only one member of the house is placed as a public figure at a time, and there is no strict dynastic tradition. Often, the public member of house Ventrus keeps does not have any children, or if they do it is kept secret. Upon their retirement or demise, an heir is apparently selected behind the curtains. The house works closely with the Church and seemingly gives its members false identities until and if their debut as the Highborn of house Ventrus is required of them. They also do not loan any Frese themselves, rather have their vassals do so for them. Despite this, the house is highly active in noble society, throwing some of the most lavish balls in all of Sorenel.
