Kiseli is a small roadside village in southern
Acaria, around half way between Tecard and Mustoir along the main road. The village sprung up around the
Kiseli Inn and Drinkhouse, a well established wayside inn, which does good business putting up passing travellers. A village square lies opposite the tavern, and a small number of houses line both sides of the road. The surrounding area is almost completely flat farmland, and a granary lies just to the south of town. A handful of farmsteads a few miles apart surround the village.
People of Kiseli
As is typical of small Acarian villages, the only regular residents are women, children and a small number of older men who have survived and retired from their military duty. There are two village elders -
Bastug and
Oktem, both now in their 60s. They mostly get on well with the women of the village, although Oktem can be quite stubborn.
The tavern is run by
Zehra, a bustling woman in her 40s who is proud of the success of her business. She employs a young girl
Esra as a stablehand, and a number of the younger women in the village are regular helpers. They can often be found hanging out in the tavern of an evening with their children.
Banu is Zehra's daughter, along with her friends
Arsal,
Isenbike and
Yahsi.
