Batrol Underguard
Batrol is the leader of the Refiners Guild. He rose up through the ranks as a miner originally, having discovered one of the largest known seams of iron ore in the fire peaks, and then graduated from leader of the Miners Guild up to the Refiners Guild.
He still spends most of this time in Karnath, travelling down to Sturmin only for guild meetings when he must. He is strongly prejudiced, and only just about tolerates the humans within his organisation, believing anyone without dwarven blood to be too weak willed to "break" the mountains or their produce.
