The Succubi Consorts
The myth of The Succubi Consorts is often intertwined with the Tiefling Creation Mythos as a branch legend when Succubi of Malcanthet came into the world to find sources of vitality and magic to empower the Demon Lord. Many succubi managed to seduce dragons of all colors with powerful demonic magics or even through, usually one-sided, love. These succubi would typically target younger or more naïve drakes and then vanish back to their realm before their partners were any wiser. It was after the Tieflings came into being that that the stolen draken blood would find itself back to the Material Plane and the odd pairings of these two powerful creatures would start to manifest as still living drakes would sometimes come across these demonic offspring.
Some even bring forth whispers that the succubi never actually stopped seducing dragons, they merely moved on from one beast to the next to continue providing new power Malcanthet.
Historical Basis
Draken-blooded Sorcerers are an oddity within themselves, but any arcane historian worth their salt knows that draken blood can be diluted down to the smallest of traces and still retain a magically powerful potency.
Spread
The Succubi Consorts is a known legend as the virility of dragons is well-known, but it is the connection to the succubi and the Tiefling creation story, that the similarities between draken-blooded Tieflings and non-Tieflings end and where the degradation of the legends begins. The stories are oft spoken and known by those Tieflings that awaken their draconic ancestor's powers tend to have a connection to their dragon parent.
In Art
There are innumerable pieces of visual and written art depicting scenes of the hellspawn and drakes, but some of the most sought after pieces are a series of near two score paintings of drakes of renown or historical importance that were confirmed to have been smitten or tricked by the seductive succubi painted by Arialia Vorz, whom is considered to be a source expert on the topic. But these pieces are becoming increasingly difficult to find as they are in very private collections of very wealthy or powerful people or have just seemingly vanished with the times.
