Nokk

The still water and creeping fog set a tranquil mood over theaaake. The ripples in the water has a hypnotizing rythme that becons you to dive in. One step, two steps. The water is unbearably cold. Two glowing eyes float on the water surface and invites you further. You walk towards them and get swallowed by the tranquility.
The nokk is a creature that dwells in bodies of freshwater. They're primarily carnivores and feeds on people and animals that are lured into the water and drowns.

Hypnosis

Nokks are experts at hypnotizing their target. When their eyes glow they hypnotize whoever looks directly at them.   Usually, the nokk tries to arrange a tranquil mood in the lake. This to get people to sit down and watch the water while their relaxing. The nokk can then slowly mesmerize the victim and command them into the water. The nokk also produce a fog across the lake to disguise themselves so they can move into position undetected. Once they're sure the target is looking in their direction and unsuspecting, the nokk starts to hypnotize them.   The nokk is very patient when it comes to hypnotizing people. They don't strike unless they're sure the hypnosis will likely succeed, and they often mimic sounds and wait for perfect weather conditions to make their victim slowly lower their guard. Very few people have escaped once they've been hypnotized by a nokk.
