Session 42: A Behemoth Battle
General Summary
As chaos broke out in the Stone District, many had sprinted out through the doors of Rum Tug n' Tootin'. Beau made his way to a balcony, readying his gun, and adorned in his mask. Meanwhile, those outside caught sight of an armoured figure atop a building with dark purple skin, ram like horns and shadows seeping into the roof's bricks. He pointed a finger and these goblin-like, icy creatures scattered across the lower district. The party was quickly defending the city. Zilla was quickly handling the icy elementals with the help of Anton before helping Ginny who was fighting a losing battle against a drake before heading for the commander. Between Zilla slamming the commander from the sky and Beau's deadly aim straight through the commander's head, they would bring and end to the fighting in the lower district. But many were rather injured. Still, they headed out to aid their allies. Michael and Anton teleported to help Caz and Nerine, and soon after the rest teleported to the main gates
Meanwhile, Caz had darted and slid across roofs towards the ice bird that soared over the city, and he found the source of the yelling, a small gnomish woman attempting to solve Grester Impish's defenses around the city. Caz was leaping from a roof, drawing his sword in an instant. And she quickly realised who she was fighting, seeming well informed of the young rebel prince who was incredible with a blade. So, she ran to find some more frightened prey while Caz dealt with the bird. And she found Nerine, attempting to make peace with some bogies. Soon the room was covered by Nerine's darkness spell, a family was slaughtered, and Nerine was trying her best to survive. Michael was quick to arrive at the scene to help and although Nerine did not like that he was rather cold in killing her, they both made it out alive. Caz throughout it all has brought down the giant ice roc and put a stop to the ice bogie's chaos.
Before their allies all arrived thanks to Anton and Odessa, Gore, Axel, and Lilith stepped outside of the Dragon's Song Inn to be met by an aproaching elven army. They were quickly slinging spells, rallying patrons to fight, or simply heading into the army to slaughter (Valerian, of course). Until they heard something burst in the distance, because soon after their eyes fell on a craze cryomancer atop one of the greatest beast they'd ever seen, a Behemoth. Samuel Isaac's and a batallion of soldiers had arrived to fight and aid them, but the battle was carried by the three adventurers, Axel trying his hardest to banish the beast, Lillith fire-balling the approaching army, and Gore being the first to distract the behemoth from its endless pursuit toward the city and shattered the icey cryomancer. The battle was a hard one, but when the rest of the party arrived, the fight was solidified to go there way, Caz and Valerian each working their way to the behemoth's head, where they would deal the final blow together, taking the beast's horn with their swing.
The elven arm began their tactical retreat, and a deep gratitude to Caspain and the party was expressed by Sam. He gave them guards to protect them while they rested at the tavern and rode back to the city after shakiing Caz's hand. The rest would be peaceful for some, and streneous for others. Caz stirred and sweated while enduring nightmares only to awake to his sister trying to comfort him, his vision readjusting from his draconic gaze only to be met by her bloodied face. He'd hurt her... Nerine had broken down in her room. Valerian and Anton teleported to Liberia where Valerian would make for the queen's bedroom posed as her general who he quickly realised was sleeping with her. She was not prepared for him to tel her from her room and take her to Lillth across the continent, much to Anton's confusion.
And the next morning, Zilla was sure to help the Montrum Amans after Alayah's death on the battlefield. Axel brought her back, and Zilla was sure to get on Wrenn's good books.
