Half elves come from human and elven ancestry and are often more charming and innately magical than the average human, but less refined and gifted as the elves, making them a force of personality. Half-Elf

Walking in two worlds but truly belonging to neither, half-elves combine what some say are the best qualities of their elf and human parents: human curiosity, inventiveness, and ambition tempered by the refined senses, love of nature, and artistic tastes of the elves.
ability score increase: Your Charisma score increases by 2, and two other ability scores of your choice each increase by 1.
age: Half-elves age at much the same rate as humans, reaching adulthood at the age of 20. They live much longer than humans, however, often exceeding 180 years.
alignment: Half-elves share the chaotic bent of their elven heritage. They both value personal freedom and creative expression, demonstrating neither love of leaders nor desire for followers. They chafe at rules, resent others' demands, and sometimes prove unreliable, or at least unpredictable. They are good and evil in equal numbers, a trait they share with their human parents.

Darkvision. Thanks to your elven heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.   Half-Elf Versatility. Choose one of the following traits:
  • Skill Versatility (General). You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.
  • Elf Weapon Training (High or Wood Elf Heritage). You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.
  • Cantrip (High Elf Heritage). You know one cantrip of your choice from the wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it.
  • Fleet of Foot (Wood Elf Heritage). Your base walking speed increases to 35 feet.
  • Mask of the Wild (Wood Elf Heritage). You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
  • Drow Magic (Dark Elf Heritage). You know the Dancing Lights cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast Faerie Fire once, and it recharges after a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast Darkness once, and it recharges after a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
  • Swim Speed (Aquatic Elf Heritage). You have a swimming speed of 30 feet.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Half-elves are humanoid, often averaging between 5'-6' in height. They are often shorter and lighter than humans, but slight heavier than the average elf. They ocassionally adopt features of their elven heritage such as pointed ears, unique skin tones and complextions, ocassionally inhuman hair colours. Unlike elves, some half-elves are capable of growing facial hair.

Genetics and Reproduction

Half elves can reproduce with nearly all other species of humanoids. They do however experience slightly longer pregnancies than human do, often up to 11 months.

Growth Rate & Stages

A half elf will live longer than their human ancestors but not as long as their elven family would, often up to 180 years in age. They mature slower than humans do.

A half elf may have more defined, pointed features much like their elven heritage. They often have clearer skin, and perhaps unique shades of eyes colours.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Half-Elves are common all across of Tritum, except perhaps Vitaln, where few humans are found to live. The experience of a half-elf can strongly depend on their birthplace. In Ignis, where the city of high elves thrives and rules in the West, isolation and discrimination can come easilly, but in Ultarn, nothing is more common than a half-breed and is completely normalised. In Tenebris, people tend to be cruel to any species where possible...

Average Intelligence

A half-elf's mental prowess is completely circumstation, varying from individual to individual and often nor more itellegent than the average humanoid without vigorous study or learning. They are however, often more naturally inclined to be charming and charasmatic, perhaps good with their words.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Much like their elven ancestors, half-elves can see raher well in the dark often to ranges of up to 60 feet. They adopt many of the magical features of elven blood such as their Fey Ancestry or trais based on what kind of elven heritage they come from. For instance, a half elf decending from a wood elf may be naturally better with cerain weapons, a drow descendant may be gifted with natural magic, a hal-elf with sea elf blood may swim stronger than the average human. With their dual heritage, half elves are often wielders of unusual new abilites.

A half-elf is likely to be stronger than the average elf phyysically, their build slightly bigger than their light footed ancestors. They however will also potentially be more agile and free moving than a regular human.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Half-Elf complextion greatly depends on what kind of elven bloodline runs through them. A half-elf drow may have greyer or purplish skin much like a half-moon elf, while a sun elf or wood elf may have golden or dark brown tanned skin. It varies from individual to individual.
