Arkan Grass

Arkan Grass is a native grass to Ignis, known to grow in the Ignian Planes to the North. It is hard to distinguish between Arkan Grass and a normal blade of grass without looking for the distinguishable differences. This grass is said to provide more nourishment to the wildlife than other grass. Hoorses that are grown and bred with Arkan grass are often slightly faster, and sturdier steeds. It is often used by the farmers neighbouring Falcon Claw. This unique plant is an omage to the strength of Ignis, as its knights ride the strongest horses.

Anatomy

Arkhan grass often grows a brighter shade of green, and had longer cuttings. It is also subtly speckled in dark green spots.

Growth Rate & Stages

Over 3,000 types of grass have been studied by Ignian herbalists, and statisticlly plant is the most common plant on Ignian plains. Arkan Grass can grow and spread in grass plains at a great rate, but will never dominate a whole plain, as if it conserves its strength to grow thicker, and higher.

Ecology and Habitats

This plant thrives in sunny, open environments, and this is why it is native to Ignis.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Arkan grass gets it's nutrient in a similar manner to other grass species: Through photosynthesis. It uses the energy sunlught provides it and converts it to energy and nutrients. This is why its pigmentation is green.

Biological Cycle

Arkan grass will thrive in all seasons like other grasses, and even outlasts other grasses due to its innate strength and resillience. Often it will change colours in autumn, to a slightly more yellow colour.
