Potion of Speed

Potions of Speed or Speed Potions are a form of potion that puts the imbiber under the effect of the powerful Haste spell. Used during times of need and battle, the Speed Potions are just as rare as Heroism Potions. Both normally are used to help mighty warriors win battles that they normally could not do without alchemic enhancements.

Mythos

For Gnolls, Potions of Speed are extremely rare though recordings of their uses have been seen throughout Gnoll history. Tales of Gnoll Chiefs using them to slay hundreds of Drow, or Shamans using the potion to tame the mightiest of spirits. Potions of Speed are also the main reason Gnoll packs enter the domain of the Vampires upon Tenebris, as their blood is a key ingredient of the potion. This has caused conflict between the two races for thousands of years, both producing a level of hatred from each after multiple wars that causes the cycle of violence to never end.

Effects

Upon drinking a Heroism Potion, it allows individuals to move and act more quickly than normal. For a full minute they can make quicker attacks and dodge attacks with their enhanced speed. Their speed in any form is also doubled. The effects are all most the same as the Sect of Change spell Haste.

Ingredients

• 1 Ounce of Sugar
• Handful of Horse Hove Shavings
• Vial of Vampire Blood

Instructions

Ingrediants Instructions

• Light up a small fire underneath alchemy equipment.
• Fill a vial with three quarters of water that will be needed to allow the user to drink the potion.
• Crash up the Horse Hove Shavings before mixing them together with the 1 Ounce of Sugar.
• Once mixed together, place within the water and stir.
• For 10 minutes allow the mix to melt within the water until the fluid has turned yellow.
• Once yellow, add the Vampire Blood into the vial before getting rid of the fire.
• Allow the Vampire Blood to form into black streaks, stir if there are been not reaction for a minute.
• Once it has formed black streaks, lite the fire again though keep it on a low heat.
• After an hour, take it off the small fire and place the Symbol of Speed upon it.
