Potion of Poison

Potions of Poison or Poison Potions are a form of potion that slowly poisons the drinker until ether their body naturally fights it off or death. To help allow the maker to hide the deadly effect of this potion, it has been made to look, smell, and taste like a Potion of Healing, causing the drinker to not know their poisoned until it is too late. The only way for someone to find out it is a Poison Potion, is by using the spell Identify of the Sect of Seeing. It is extremely rare for Gnoll Shaman's to produce Poison Potions as the need for them is extremely low and are viewed as a cowardly way to kill someone, though this has not stopped some Shaman's in using it to kill. It is mostly used as a rare ingredient of Gnoll Moonshine, used normally only for the harden warriors of the Pack or Shaman's to help produce a natural resistance to poison.

Mythos

Poison Potions do not hold any great form of mythos on how the first Shaman's figured out how to make them. Instead, Shaman's tell stories of those who got greedy and selfish, believing that they were better than others or wished to be in charge so used Poison Potions to kill those in their paths. Stories of Shaman's killing those who wronged them in their packs or slaughtering whole circles to become the only Shaman. Even tales of Chief Shaman's who poisoned their own Chief's because of ether disputes or the belief that the Shaman's should oversee packs. These tales are told to others to remind them that using these potions against one’s races is viewed as cowardly, as the Hyena God would rather a dual of strength then the slowly killing form of poison.
