Potion of Lesser Restoration

Potions of Lesser Restoration or Lesser Restoration Potions are a form of potion that can remove a temporary handicap caused by certain creature attacks, poisons, and magical effects or horrific diseases a creature has been given. For the Gnolls, these potions are rare and few with many only being used to stop new deadly diseases that could destroy a pack or to save a chosen of the Hyena God. Many of the Lesser Restoration Potions have been handed down from Shaman to Shaman over the hundreds of years, with only a few being made between those times. It has been known for packs to go to war against each other or other races to gain even a singular Lesser Restoration Potion, though some packs instead have made it tradition to enter the lush lands of Vitaln in hopes of finding the needed material for this potion.

Mythos

To produce a Lesser Restoration Potion, a Shaman must have the dust of a Celestial being that comes from the holy planes. This dust is extremely rare as on the Material Plane and special on Tenebris, Celestial creatures are normally not found. Though it is believed that the first potions did not come from the Material Plane but instead the Hyena Gods own home and delivered by his chosen Demons the Shoosuvas. They come with the information on how to produce them and how to hunt Celestial beings for their dust. So, the Gnolls at the time went on a great hunt across Tenebris that would be known as the Great Hunt of the Divine that saw the near extraction of any Celestial being on the Dark Plains. Hundreds of Lesser Restoration Potions were made until there were no more that could be made, causing them to become the extremely valuable things they are today. But the Gnolls still have not given up trying to make more of these potions with some packs like the Pack of the Radiant Devourers holding hunts into Vitaln, Ignis and Ultarn to find Celestial creatures to both eat and use for their pleasure.

Effects

Upon drinking a Lesser Restoration Potion, the creature will be cured of all diseases and handicap caused by certain creature attacks, poisons, and magical effects. The potion is in the end a liquid form of the Sect of Protection spell of the same name.

Ingredients

• Vial of Dahlia Pollen
• Vial of Radiant Dust of a Celestial Being

Instructions

Ingrediants Instructions

1. Light up a small fire underneath alchemy equipment.
2. Fill a vial with three quarters of water that will be needed to allow the user to drink the potion.
3. Boil water to the exact temperature being 65°C. This is needed for the two other materials to quickly dissolve into each other so their powers do not waste away before joining together.
4. Quickly add the Radiant Dust and Dahlia Pollen into the boiling water.
5. Stir quickly to make sure the two materials mix together until the water has come to glowing white.
6. Allow it to settle for a minute and only stir if the potion is losing the glow.
7. Keep an eye on it for the next hour, keeping the water around 65°C and the liquid a glowing white.
8. After an hour, take it off the small fire and place the Symbol of Lesser Restoration upon it.
