A group of Human scouts go searching in the nearby mountainous caves and discover a different kind of stone - one that is both soft and sharp.

In an attempt to discover races like the Elves, the Humans set out a similar scouting party and send them north into the mountains. Its only a few days in when they discover deep into the mountains a substance both soft and sharp. After a day of collecting the resource and hauling it back home, the mysterious black stone is studied and tested with before eventually a greater purpose is found... The scouting party sets out once more in search of other beings.
