Serisul

Serisul is the capital and founding city of the great and ancient empire of Tryperia. It is the seat of the imperial authority of Purple Throne.

The population of Serisul is predominately Tryperian (67%) with the remainder being High Tryperian (20%) and other. (13%)

Government

The city government is run by a council of magistrates elected by and from among the High-Tryperian aristocracy.

Defences

The walls of Serisul are high and imposing, the sight of their black spires is enough to demoralize those who have dreamt of invasion. However the first line of defense is the 20 cohorts of the basilisk legion who are stationed in the Tryperian countryside and surrounding cities.

History

Serisul has been the seat of the Tryperian capital throughout its entire history, having been the original Tryperian tribal settlement of Sul over ten-thousand years ago.

Architecture

The architecture of Serisul is archetypal of Tryperian design, being made up of monolithic black spires reaching high into the grey Tryperian skies.

Geography

Sul was originally founded upon a low, sloping hill on the west banks of a great river, it has since expanded up to the river and beyond. The surrounding countryside is grassy and uneven and the river is annually swollen from the melt off of nearby mountain ranges.
