Based on the idea that the gods are everywhere and in everything, watching over all that they can observe. The Weirwoods are seen as direct links to the old gods in such that they can watch and listen to all that surrounds the tree, it is their direct link to the land. The old god followers often believe that none can hide the truth when before the tree and that all oaths sworn by the are bound forever.

Divine Origins

The original faith of Dorthellien, commonly followed by the roaming clans and first men who settled the continent and believed that the gods were all around.

Worship

Silent prayer near a Weirwood is the only form of worship that is observed by the followers of the old gods. The quite and calming areas around the Weirwood give way for the faithful to listen and hear the responses of the old gods from the surrounding nature. Weapons and animals are strictly forbidden from being near to the Weirwood for the followers of the old faith believe they can harm the natural essence of the land and tree.
