Abyssal and common are understood, but generally they use a basterdization of the two, Duchess Ranga is more heavy with common but more guttural with that abyssal flavor.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

At birth the symbol of the child's mother's bloodline is carved into their forehead with a ceremonial dagger at the Steps of Nokenyal.

Coming of Age Rites

Male: A ritualistic hunt where the Ragnalugese leaves his village to seek a "worthy" prey. Some choose to go into the woods, some into the mountains, some to the bay. Only a few leave Ragnalugen to search for newer prey, this is usually only done to cause the male to stand out. Once the ritual is complete, an intricate brand is fashioned to the image of the prey, the image is then burned to their chest.
Female: A pilgrimage where she must bring a new form of magic back to the Matriarchs from outside of Ragnalugen. This magic can be a powerful spell, artefact, or new arcane research. The details of which are then tattooed to their face in a similar color tone to her skin, enchanting her with the same gift she gives to her Matriarch.

Males are burned in magical fire Duchess bodies are preserved and protected in catacombs beneath the city, ready to be called on, and their souls are added to the magical reservoir available to the matriarchs.

Gender Ideals

Males are tools to be used by the females. Females are the only ones who are truly capable of leadership and magic. Males are forbidden from practicing magic of any sort and should only focus on more physical pursuits, which is really all they are good at.

Courtship Ideals

When a female is ready to create a new litter of tieflings, she selects a male and pays the approppriate price to rent him, depending on the price set by the Matriarchs for his tier.

Relationship Ideals

co-ed relationships are unheard of and have no custom involved. Male-to-male relationships are very common and extremely deep rooted, each trying to better the other. Female-to-female relationships are often strictly because the tiefling sees a means of bettering herself through the "friendship."
