Language of flowers code:

Used as decoration- bouquets, wreaths, centerpieces etc. can let people know details of boundaries, after parties, specific guests to shun or honor and so forth. As well as indicate the over all tone of a gathering. One might even place a specific bouquet on someone’s table at an event to give personalized messages.

Sent as “gifts”- the most common way to use the language of flowers, they can announce anything from undying love, to eternal hatred. Being common amongst even outsiders of the court, this is often saved for more overt messages.

In letters/notes- to send short coated coded messages, such as names or locations of gatherings one might subtly work the names of flowers into a otherwise mundane letter, for the recipient to then use the first (or last, or 3rd)  letter to spell out the information.

To send longer coded messages one might draw paint or stamp images of flowers along the edge of stationary to convey any length of message while maintaining an air of frivolity and inane-ness. Looking like just pretty decoration to most. (using the same type of letter code)

Symbols and tokens

The lowest ranked 1-3 will show their status through live flowers, often weaved in hair, tucked into pockets or buttonholes. This allows and exemplifies the fluidity in rank at these levels, easily moving, being bumped up and knocked down

The middle ranks 4-6 are more established and members often plateau in one of these 3. For that reason more permanent but still easily replaceable tokens are chosen. Examples include, embroidered handkerchiefs, ascots, and gloves, or even stamped into leather shoes.

The upper ranks of 7-8 are the highest ranks achievable in most beings life times, and such, reaching and remaining in them are great accomplishments and are often celebrated with expensive tokens. Things like custom jewelry, headpieces, hair pins, brooches, cufflinks, piercings, and the like are most common. on a few notable occasions members have even had their mount branded with their ranks symbol flower. The more expensive the material used to craft them the better.

The leader Loke Ahem is the only member of rank 9. Her token of the Black Dailia is more of personal symbol than the permanent flower for the ninth rank. Her token is one of a kind, a  Black Dahlia tattooed at the top of her spine. It is rumored that she has the subsequent ranks in descending order tattooed down the length of her back, but it has never been confirmed.
