Solacear
Titles: The Hearthflame, The Last Ember, The Forgotten
Domains: Life, Twilight, Light
Symbol: A small flame within a circle of stones
Personality: Solacear is not loud, wrathful, or shining with grandeur like the Noble gods. She is quiet, ever-present, and patient. Her warmth is not the blazing sun or the roaring forge. It is the ember that refuses to die, the campfire shared by strangers on a cold night, the final flicker of hope when all seems lost. She is the warmth of a shared blanket, the whisper of warmth in the cold snow, the hand that steadies when all others let go. Solacear rarely "speaks" through visions or miracles. Instead, she is felt with in for those that know to listen for her.
She does not promise victory. She promises endurance.
Clergy: Solacear has no official clergy, temples, or orders. Her followers are scattered serfs, healers, wandering hedge-priests, and kindly midwives. Those who follow her often wear ash-smudged symbols or carry a piece of coal wrapped in cloth, passed down through families. Her rites are performed quietly: a bowl of broth for the hungry, a whispered song by candlelight, or the careful tending of the dying.
A rare few claim to be "firekeepers" of Solacear, individuals who dedicate their lives to preserving her spirit in dark places. They move from home to home, tending the sick, blessing small hearths, or guarding sacred fire pits said to burn with her eternal flame.
Cultural Impact:
Among the Serfs, Solacear is more than a goddess. She is a comfort. In cold homes and on lonely nights, her name is murmured with hope. When grief is too heavy, when winter refuses to end, when a field goes barren then people pray. They pray not for miracles, but for her presence. "Let Solacear wait with us" is a common phrase whispered at wakes, in blizzards, or beside fireless stoves. A plea for comfort in the darkest moments
In noble circles, she is unknown or dismissed as a folk myth. Clerics of the noble gods often declare her heretical or irrelevant, insisting no such divine being exists in their records. Still, rumors swirl of quiet miracles performed in her name. Fields revived, illnesses soothed, and warmth found where none should be.
Her presence is strongest where the light is weakest.
Some also say that Solacear was once a lesser servant of Rae-Diant who chose to walk among the hopeless, and was cast out for refusing to return.
