A harsh disciplinarian known for his rigid, joyless demeanor. Maeric is infamous for ordering public punishments as examples for the Serfs under his control. It is said he values silence more than loyalty, and obedience more than blood. He tolerates none to talk back to him and has even executed his own son for doing so
