The leaders of The Jade Grove, this mysterious individual has risen in rank with surprising speed. Combining the ruthlessness needed to thrive in the oligarchy with a wonderous power over the natural world, Charalicus has proven to be a formidable player in the world of politics. The only thing currently holding him back appears to be the lack of a noble title, though there are rumors that he is coveting the throne of another.

Both his appearance and his seemingly lack of origin, appearing to have simply stepped out of the mists of time one day, has also inspired many rumours. He appears to be a relatively handsome bugbear, with a layer of fungal growth covering his body. These growths come to two points on his head, resembling a pair of horns. This causes some to speculated his power comes from an infernal deal, others talk of the fungi being its source. There is a third idea, popular among some of the more gossip loving nobles, that he found a map of the stars themselves that guide his strength
