Universal Walkie Talkies

These walkie talkies come in pairs, with each extradimensionally linked and marked to match the other so the pairing is easily recognized. When you use an action to use one walkie talkie, it functions as if you were using the Telepathic Message power from it, i.e. you send a short message of twenty-five words or less to the creature with the other walkie talkie. The power enables creatures with Intelligence scores of at least 1 to understand the emotional state in which you send the message even if they do not share a common language with you.
You can send the message across any distance as long as you are within the same universe. The target is the other walkie talkie. If no creature has the other walkie talkie, you know that fact as soon as you use the walkie talkie and don't waste the use of the item.
Once one walkie talkie is activated, it can't be used again until the next dawn. The other can still be used to send one return message. If one of the walkie talkies in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes inert and no longer functions.
