Carousing and Treenkets
How to Carouse
You may Carouse once per IRL week. Adventurers deserve some time to enjoy themselves. You may Carouse up to two additional times a week, at a cost of 2 Clout each time. You may never Carouse more than once in the same day. To carouse go to the Events and Carousing channel in discord and enter the command !carousing

Note that some of these rolls result in a Skill Challenge with a Player Rep or a DM. If you were Carousing as a group, you can bring those additional people with you and they will also gain the Clout rewards for their participation.

1 | Something really bad happens. Speak to a DM. |
2-6 | Despite the best of your intentions, you have done ill to someone within the community. Pay a penalty of 2 Clout. Additionally, gain the ‘Guild Embarrassment’ role for a week. NPCs will shake their heads at you and sigh, whispering to one another "What do we do about them?” just before you are out of earshot. |
7-10 | You run into your own fanclub. There are people about all over who know the Stewards and owe their lives to you. Sometimes they show up in the most unexpected places, but they let you know they are around. They hang on your every word and they give you small works of art, some of which depict you. If you put your mark on them and later sell them, you stand to make 25gp*level in gold pieces. Or if you keep them treasure them, you gain 2 Clout. |
11-15 | Something you consumed in your frivolity has disagreed with your digestive system greatly. You are Poisoned for 24 hours or until you are effected by Lesser Restoration. (This effect lasts into games you join during that time) |
16-20 | An excellent time is had, you party late into the night and make meaningful connections with your friends, enjoy yourself and life to its fullest. And get absolutely no sleep. Gain one level of Exhaustion for the next 24 hours. But gain 1 Clout for making an epic showing last night. (This effect lasts into games you join during that time) |
21-25 | Your exuberance has cost you. Something which you brought with you while carousing has been lost. Speak to a Quartermaster to find out what, and how you might be able to get it back. or A special delivery is coming in during the evening while you are out enjoying yourself. But they seem to be in trouble. It's up to you to step in and save the day. This is a DC 15 Skill Challenge requiring between one and three checks under the determination of a Quartermaster. Tag the role in the Carousing channel to save the day. If you succeed, gain 1 Clout and a gemstone worth 5*level gp as a thank you from the merchant. If you fail, gain 1 Clout for trying. The Quartermaster who runs this gains 1 Clout and 5*level gp. |
26-30 | Partying hard is great for people, but less enjoyable for most critters. During your time out one of your pets has run off. You’ll need the help of a Veteran in order to determine which one and how you might be able to get it back. or There's danger afoot. While you are out enjoying yourself you catch sight of a dangerous magical beast. Do you slay it? Route it somewhere else? This is a DC 15 Skill Challenge requiring between one and three checks under the determination of a Veteran. Tag the role in the Carousing channel to identify your quarry and figure out how you are keeping the party safe. If you succeed, gain 1 Clout and either a Potion of Climbing or Potion of Sanctuary. If you fail, gain 1 Clout for trying. The Veteran who runs this gains 1 Clout and 5*level gp. |
31-35 | You have broken something that belonged to someone else. But all is not lost! You’ve got the item in hand and might be able to repair it! But you’ll need materials and skilled hands, contact a Master of Ceremonies to visit Toolmaster Sonof A’birch and do him a favor to get it fixed better than new before anyone else can find out what you did. or After all the times the Toolmaster has helped you out, tonight the call for aid comes from him. He has a task for you relating to the current or soonest upcoming event. This is a DC 15 Skill Challenge requiring between one and three checks under the determination of a Master of Ceremonies. Tag the role in the Carousing Channel to find out what task lies before you. If you succeed, gain 1 Clout and a roll on the Treenket Table. If you fail, gain one Clout for trying. The Master of Ceremonies who runs this gains 1 Clout and 5*level gp. |
36-40 | Through your wandering and exploration, you have come across an NPC of some measured importance. Speak to the DM of your choice to figure out who you have encountered, and if this is a meeting for good or ill. Both you and the DM gain 1 Clout. |
41-55 | What fortuitous fortune! You have come across something delightful and unusual, you may roll on the Treenket Table. Please post what you found into the Carousing channel for all to see. |
56-60 | After a night of wandering the streets you stumble across a sight of beauty or a talented performer. Something about this work of art sticks with you, it lingers in your mind. You gain a 1d6 that can be used on any roll within the next week. |
61-65 | Beverages come in all shapes and sizes, you happen to have found one that is quite spectacular and unique. You gain a Potion of Resistance. Roll to determine what kind (Fire, Cold, Lightning, Necrotic, Radiant, Thunder) |
66-70 | Wherever you went, you have come across the faithful and they have blessed you. Receive a potion of Lesser Restoration, and a pamphlet that functions as a Scroll of Cure Wounds |
71-75 | Fluttering in the wind you come across scraps of parchment, but when you collect them you realize this is a 1st-3rd level scroll! Roll 1d3 to determine what level the scroll is. You may decide the spell you have found. |
76-80 | It's another wonderful trip throughout the city. You stroll around enjoying the pleasant aromas, sights and sounds of all kinds. As you move around the city something catches your eye in a pile of discarded trash, you come across a set of (your choice of fine clothes, tools or instrument) hidden amongst the junk. Despite the location it's pristine and clean. Free for the taking and just waiting for someone to make use of. |
81-85 | You come across herbs and tinctures which can be used as 1d4 Healing Potions, and 1 Greater Healing Potion |
86-90 | A new pet has followed you home, you may select a mundane pet such as a Squirrel, Dog, Cat, Songbird. Or you may find one pet currently in the Critter Keep that costs 50gp or less. If there are no pets yet this month, you should @ DMs and ask for new pets! You've earned one |
91-94 | Somehow, your gold pouch is heavier now than when you began the night. Gain an Emerald worth 10*level gp. |
95-99 | Some nights everything works out in your favor, you show up at the right time and right place, and say the right things to make sure everyone else is having the best time they can. Gain 1d6 Clout and gain the ‘Life of the Party’ role for a week. NPCs will greet you with open arms and you’ll have advantage on Persuasion checks around the guild. |
100 | Something incredible happens. Speak to a DM. |
