Calendar of Events
The Event and Season Cycle
These events rotate and repeat in a cycle. New events begin on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month then run for the week. A new Thread will be started in the Events and Carousing channel by a Master of Ceremonies. All downtimes related to the event can be done in that thread.Basic Event Structure
Sunday through Thursday - Dailies
These are usually daily and individual activities. It might be looking for an ingredient, or performing a ritual, or any number of other things related to the event. Often these involve skill challenges and can be assumed to take place over 4 hours of time. Any buffs used must last through the duration. Although a variety of options may be presented, each character may only attempt one Daily activity per day.Friday and Saturday - Finale
This is the big event! It may be effected by what you did with your dailies during the week preceding or it could be stand alone. This might include competitions, showcases, and fancy parties.Sunday - Grace Period and Rewards
We all got lives. If you weren’t able to do your Finale downtime on Friday or Saturday you can still submit one for the rewards, but be ineligible to win competitions that have already concluded. The Master of Ceremonies running the event will give out competitive rewards and final event wrap ups. All PCs who participated in either daily events or the finale will receive 10*level gold pieces and 2 Clout for their involvement.Special Event Inventory
Each event has at least three special items that become available for purchase. Some are available for Clout, some gold, and others may require something specific. These are only available from Sunday through Saturday. Some of them must be used during that time, others are permanent items. Check the description to be sure.Seasonal Skips
At the end of each IRL month PCs will be able to account for additional time spent during that season. This covers all the travel time that might have otherwise come into conflict with the ordinary 1:1 timescale of the server. This time amounts to four weeks of time. For active players, this may largely be consumed in time spent on adventures which take more than a single in character day. But it is also an opportunity to have your character work on other projects. This time cannot be used for limited DTAs such as learning a tool or language, but can be used for crafting or story purposes. If you have a specific thing you would like to do that involves a DM’s storyline this is a good opportunity to collaborate with them on what you would like to be doing. To use this additional time during the Seasonal Skip write up a downtime before the last day of the IRL month describing what you do and tagging any relevant DMs or PCs who are involved. The benefits do not take effect until the 1st day of the next IRL month.Repeating Events and Seasons
