Goblins and Trees

I'm happy that we didn't slaughter all the goblins in the camp - even though I do find them annoying... they have a purpose in this world. Hopefully now there will be less ruckus around my old home and in Phandalin. I wonder if the town feels any different now that Ruxathud is gone. We're still missing the town's 'black stones' and citizens but, I feel we're a step in the right direction to healing the town. I wonder how Elderheart will react to our decisions. I hope, for the goblin's sake, that the goblins have mustered some sense and have stopped causing havoc in the forest! I'm deeply concerned about the findings in that cave we were in... possible Illithid?? What are we getting ourselves into... Maybe someone in the town knows more about Duergar and Illithid history. Where did Gwen Oarsong go?

Aftermath of Inclusion

It's only been a short period of time being around others again and I have to say that it's hard to deal with everyone's personalities! I've been alone for so long that I have forgotten that there are other people in this world that make me want to use my hands for harm rather than good... I spent all of this time trying to rid the overwhelming thoughts of bringing swift merciful justice to any soul who stands against the Enclave that I may have to practice some meditative exercises once again. I feel conflicted on how easy I was to allow my friends to possibly torture the Goblins that remained alive (even though I really dislike the green monsters who consistently disrupted my home and the land surrounding) - this does not follow my practices of Mercy. Mercy can be dolled through healing and aid to those who suffer or it can be delivered through harm to end someone's suffering - torture is not merciful. I must go back to my sleeping quarters and meditate to realign my thoughts and feelings. Hopefully my friends still want to bring order back to nature - the grotesque abberation we saw in the well is not like anything I've ever seen before and it should not exist in these parts. We must also find the missing citizens of Phandalin!
