Lock Delger

Lock Delger is a Gnome journalist who runs the only newspaper in Detritus, the Wayward Echo. The offices of the Wayward Echo are a tiny suite of rooms above the planestation in Wayward Roost, where Lock also lives. Lock was born in Gorlincks, the largest settlement on Detritus, but moved to Wayward Roost when he came to maturity as the likely centre of the most interesting events on the plane. He's a genial and charming fellow with a quick wit that often gets him into trouble. His politics definitely favours the common individual over wealth and he can often be found on the same side of the argument as Kurri Zo Karrash, the Mayor's daughter. However, he retains a certain distance from the Mayoral family due to the fact that he sometimes ends up on the wrong side of the law in his pursuit of truth. He has made it his mission to uncover whatever conspiracy or scandal led someone like Nenyo D'Alcatar to come to literally the end of the line, and Nenyo has had him arrested for trespassing on one occasion, as well as threatening him with arrest over other criminal incidents he cannot prove. Lock has no illusions that he will escape hard labour or worse if Nenyo wins the Mayoral race, and so he is all the more determined to make sure the Elf's sordid past is fully known before the election.
