The Heroes

In the year 1058 AM, a group of adventurers defeated The Calamity and sealed it away and are now world renowned as the saviors of the world, as The Heroes.  

The Members

The most notable members of The Heroes were the Zargrave Siblings, three wizards with exceptional affinity towards magic; Quentin, Julia and Elliot Zargrave. It was their magical expertise allowed them to find a way to seal The Calamity but not without sacrifice; Quentin lost his arms, Julia lost her sight and hearing, but most affected was Elliot who lost his life.   The Obsidian Knight, Rim Vomisk, is an unparalleled fighter and commander on the battlefield. Leading the main organizational force that planned movements of entire cities away from the path of The Calamity as well as the Army that held the Calamity back whilst the Wizard Siblings sealed it away.   Corusa, The Speaker of the Trees, was the party healer and acted as the party's moral compass, aiding in relief efforts during the sealing.   Zaddi is a genius inventor known as The Tinkerer and provided the party with contraptions, that were too complex to be widespread. Most of the time he was a liability for the group, however when needed his focus was unparalleled.   The last and lesser known member of the party of heroes was more of a stalker, originally just following them and documenting their journey and feats but over time they accepted and eventually allowed them to 'officially' join. The Chronicler, aka Simwin Faera took note of everything, and even learned a thing or two from their companions whilst doing so.  

Aftereffect of The Heroes

Not stopping at only saving the world, their continuous actions since being named The Heroes still greatly having an affect rippling throughout Traestea. After stopping the Calamity, the party spit and went their separate ways to focus on what was important to them. Even if that the thing most important to them was just enjoying life and ignoring responsibility which is what Zaddi decided to do.   Simwin decided to travel and write the stories of the people, eventually forming a small following of worshipers who continue his beliefs and writing the stories of the people even after he vanished. Courusa returned to the Secluded Archepelago where she looks after the World Tree and offers aid to those in Euphor.   The two remaining Zargrave Siblings decided to form their own guild, one focused on the aid of others and to organize the mercenary and travelers, so they formed the Zargrave Adventurers Guild. With the aid of Rim, this legitimized Adventurer as a profession, as well as the acceptance of hiring these people for help, with even nations recognizing and allowing travel if you were a member of the guild. The Guild became so much of a success, that the city founded to support it, Ruset, is now the largest settlement in the world.   An unintended effect of the Heroes achievements is that the Wizards around the world, who were previously feared and shunned, were now more accepted. And with the display of power from the siblings, they were now somewhat expected to be helping the lands they reside in.
