Magitek (Ma-Gee-Tech)

Magitek is a form of automated technology using Magic as it's power source, ranging from small handheld devices to large war machines. Originating from The Forgelands, invented by the Northerners there, it has slowly spread throughout the rest of Traestea through trade but not at the stage of mass production. That doesn't mean that they can only be made in the Forgelands though, many artisans and inventors will travel to the Forgelands to learn the trade and then come back to the mainland to sell their newfound skill. It's also not uncommon for those native the the Island of the Forge to get sick of the war and leave for the mainland.
The materials for making Magitek are hard to come by on the mainland, it requires a form of crystalized Mana as a battery to hold the Magic used to power the device which can only be found in the depths of the underground or shooting up from active volcanoes. Other than the Crystals, the other components require expert tuning and craftsmanship or it risks a major failure for the user of the device, so using Magitek that is experimental is typically up to the user's own risk.
