Player Expectations and Errata
The Campaign of Endless Twilight is meant to be fun above all, and has been designed as an accepting, safe and comfortable space for the creativity and expression of all types of players. Because of this, there are some basic player expectations that the DM asks for to join and continue in the campaign.

- Respect Everyone - the players in this campaign are diverse and come from a variety of experiences. Disrespect to others will not be tolerated by the DM, especially not based on disrespect for a persons identity or other immutable factor.
- Respect Boundaries - the world is designed as a dark game, and there may be a certain amount of unease present regarding themes or situations. However, if a player cannot continue play within a certain theme, they can temporarily step away until the theme has resolved in the immediate situation and speak to the DM after play for establishment of particular boundaries.
- Respect the Party - D&D 5E is meant to be a cooperative game - that means working together! whilst personality conflicts sometimes happen, it's important that players work together as best as possible - therefore continued interpersonal conflicts will be mediated by the DM, and can result in one or bot parties being asked to leave the campaign.
- Respect Time - we all known scheduling in a world under capitalism is hard, so effort will be made to give plenty of notice for games. If you say you are going to make it, do your best! Regularly play will take place on Saturday nights from 7-11pm, so if you know days you will not be available, let the group know ahead of time. Occasional absences are understandable, and play will continue even with individual players unable to attend, with their PCs run by the DM, but multiple players out causes disruption to the fun of the group, so schedule accordingly!
- Respect the Spotlight - In light of D&D 5E being cooperative, player characters will often alternate between being the momentary center of attention, or being "in the spotlight." If another player is in the spotlight, respect that - you'll also get your time to shine! If a player is in the spotlight and another player is drawing attention away adversely, the DM may remind the group of who has the spotlight at the moment and ask for respect of that fact, so heed the reminder if given.
- Respect the Focus - D&D 5E is a game with a lot going on that happens with description and imagination, which means you have to stay engaged to enjoy it! No one can focus exclusively, but try and keep up with what's happening in the game, even if you don't have the spotlight at that moment or its not your turn in combat. This also means to keep cogent while playing - excessive inebriation can hinder your participation and the whole group's enjoyment of the game, so appreciate your libations in moderation!
- Respect the Rules (and the DM) - It's important to have an understanding of rules and mechanics in the game of D&D 5E, and one of central rules in the game is that the DM is the arbiter of the rules and how they are use. Often, the DM will have to make calls on rules and situations, and sometimes players may not agree with those calls - when this happens, rather than slowing down play, a player should log an objection with the DM - if it can be resolved quickly, then that's great! But if not, the DM will make a ruling and move on with play, and the ruling can be revisited after the game, which may result in additional clarifications or notes in House Rules or listed below as Errata.
