Meet the DM

For those of you who don't know Katherine (and you should, she's pretty great!), this page is for you!
Katherine, or Kat as she is known to friends, has been playing tabletop roleplaying games since somewhere around the year 2000, and has been running games as a DM nearly her whole play career. She grew up on DND 3.5, Arcana Evolved, World of Darkness, and other systems, and has always favored world-building and playing an absolute slew of characters, making her ideal role as that of the DM. An avid home-brewer and rules nerd, Kat's primary focus is telling good, character driven stories using collaborative roleplay as a medium.
Kat's style leans toward subtlety, nuance, building drama, and sometimes darker or more complex story themes. She loves exploring the origins of characters, and is extremely focused on building living worlds that continue on even when the player character's aren't viewing them directly. A veteran of running more than 10 campaigns in various systems, almost all of them homebrew, Kat is extremely focused on creating new experiences for players, so collaborating with character development is an important passion in her approach to gaming.
Kat is a healthcare provider in real life, and may be prone to literal or medically-accurate descriptions of wounds and the like. Fair warning!
