The young scion of a once noble house, Lady Esvele returned to Waterdeep determined to reclaim her family name after her grandfather was revealed to be unlawfully participating in the slave trade. Her irreverent attitude and disregard for decorum have shocked the Waterdeep establishment, but endeared her to other young lords and ladies who chafed under the weight of courtly manners. In secret, she is The Black Viper, a Robin-Hood-esque cutthroat and pickpocket who patrols Waterdeep at night.
