Wendel Appleblossom
Male halfling bard (College of Creation)/warlock (Fiend patron) who was recruited (on recommendation of Zeria) to join the "Friendly Four" party that was formed in the wake of Voris's misdeeds and intra-party conflict. Originally from the province of Galton (which became a border province of the Dunhaar Free State when the rebellion began), where the local folks often referred to his fiddling as the "best that's ever been." An affable and easy-going country boy, he is never seen without his fiddle, and he often plays it during any idle time he has (it "helps him think", he says). Despite his overall cheery demeanor, there is something oddly diabolical about said fiddle and its golden strings.
On the adventures aboard the Gentle Night, he has become a bit more withdrawn and indifferent, due to internalized feelings of inadequacy relative to his fellow party members (especially from nearly dying during the white dragon battle) and the other adventurers on board, and inability to cope with the war possibly impacting his home.
His parents were killed, his home destroyed, and his siblings went missing, in the first campaign of the Ixlan Republic's war against the Dunhaar free state, when they recaptured the province of Galton. This news truly shook him, and even though he was able to later communicate with his siblings via Sending, it has made him re-evaluate his life decisions, particularly his warlock pact. This has prompted his departure from the party following the Temple of the Worlds quest.
