Alethramach
"The One Who Schemes," they were an ancient green dragon and servant/follower of Tiamat, the Scaled Tyrant. Was a nemesis of Jadvigal's defeated some centuries ago, with one of their wings having been cut off. They have worked behind the scenes to build up the tensions that have led to the Republic's wars against the underdark factions (that have become the Dinalthian Dynasty) and the Torrentha Academy (whose allies formed the Montspring Compact). The other additional conflicts have just been lucky side-effects, all in the service of fomenting chaos through which they could later achieve a tyrant's power in the name of Tiamat. They were in attendance at the harvest festival as a page/assistant to the elderly elf Nevarth Zumyra of the Republic High Council, and they seemed to be operating in such a capacity when the party encountered them in the sewers beneath Ixlyria. Initially, to the party's knowledge, it was unclear what role (or even form/disguise) they have been adopting since, but later searching by Halimath (in search of the rings of Demiplane) revealed that they had indeed been specifically adopting Nevarth's identity.
They ruled as a imposter member of the "Elven Triumvirate" for the duration of the wars of late 724, until they were killed (in rather embarrassing fashion, being forcibly de-shapeshifted in a ladder-way far too small for their true form, and thus fully trapped) in an ambush by the crew of the Gentle Night (and a couple allies) in the early morning of the 21st of 11th-Month. This, in combination with the prior secret infiltration of the Ixlan Republic military by Onyx Wing operatives, and the actions of the other imposter leaders (Veidrorith as Alyndra and a draconian fiend as Thallan), led to regime change that day that became known as the "Serene Dawn Uprising", paving the way for the formation of the militaristic-democratic New Ixlan Republic.
The party found three rings on their talons upon their demise. The first, the Ring of Demiplane, was intentionally sought after by the party, but upon Alethramach's death, the demiplane of their lair began to collapse, leaving only fractured remnants adrift in the astral plane, and all their hoard nearly inaccessible (the ring would thereby need to be reattuned to be usable, and perhaps retrofitted by Halimath to have a channeled connection to what used to be Old Gri's lair, to become Leila's). The second was a Ring of Proof against Detection and Location, the source of Alethramach's avoidance of divinatory magic. The last was more of a surprise, a Ring of Spell Turning.
