Personal history
Originally Reyka Skaftisdottir, she was born to a tribal people of the north who, having never seen a tiefling before, believed she was a fated child. Whether her role was to bring great destruction, or great change was never exactly explained to her, but she grew tired of it nonetheless and abandoned her home in search of a more liberating existence. After changing her name to Heimurinnsdottir, meaning ‘daughter of the world’ she went on to earn her titles of ‘The Ruthless’ and ‘Ice-Heart’ as the captain of a pirate ship, The Siren’s Scorn, and reigned over the oceans for many years. Among the crazy ventures she took on was her quest to chart the End of the World, an expanse of sea past a threshold none had ever returned from. A few days past the point of no return, the crew's’ spirits were high and the sea was calm. Far too calm to be natural; in every direction was water, still and clear as glass. No birds in the sky, not a wave to break the water’s perfect surface, but a massive dip dead ahead gave all the signs of a deadly whirlpool. Any normal captain would steer clear of this danger at first sight, but no normal crew had ever returned from here, so Reyka, acknowledging the obvious magical forces at work here, maintained course straight for the maelstrom. The Siren’s Scorn slammed into the whirlpool with a loud cracking of wood as the illusion was broken, revealing a narrow ravine in an icy landscape sprinkled with countless shipwrecks leading to a small beach alcove where the whirlpool supposedly was. After assessing the damage and disembarking onto the shore the crew were awestricken by the absence of a sky that was replaced with an endless sea of astral phenomena engulfing the small chunk of frozen land they now stood on. Almost as if the entire sky blinked, everyone was suddenly aware that some entity had spotted them, and immediately a hurricane of spider-like tendrils slathered in monstrous eyes erupted from all around as the air itself wrapped into a titanous maw that began devouring everyone. Reyka immediately dove back into the ravine thinking a cannon from her ship would be the best weapon they had, however the momentum from the many stories high drop carried her straight through the deceptively thin stretch of water and tossed her helplessly into the astral sea, carried by the frozen waterfall that fell from where the beginning ocean should have been. She awoke sometime later, washed up on the shores of another land and coated in ice. Since then she has frozen down to her very soul and tries fruitlessly to warm herself by any means possible, usually drinking. The touch of this entity also left her with a blessing, though, as she now has great control over water, ice and negative energies.

Social Aptitude
Reyka actually has a quite bubbly, easy-to-excite, personality, although she only lets it show when she’s been drinking too much. Most of the time she is solemn, and somewhat harsh, but she only comes off this way because she tries to retain a serious, no bullshit demeanor as the former captain of a crew of wily pirates.
Speech
Reyka's speech is slow, measured, and cracking like that of a glacier.
