Gym Leader, Carrie Verlio

Carrie is the Ghost-type Gym Leader of Verlio City. Since an incident around five years ago, she has been mostly confined to the “spirit realm”. Practically, this means that she is hard to interact with without extremely suspicious drugs of unknown origin. She is quite Thicc, but has a personality that doesn’t at all match her appearance. Much like the city in which she resides, she is the life of the party, and acts as a DJ when she is able to attend events. She is accompanied by a Rotom that like to inhabit a jukebox. Past

Carrie was formerly a scientist studying the afterlife in Malubris town. She was one of the brilliant minds behind the Phantom Anchor, although it never saw use. Most of her work was lost when the Malubris town lab was abandoned, and her former partner Dr. Johnathan Romero took what remained. Carrie "died" along with her team when the machine her facility had been working on unexpectedly malfunctioned. The difference between her and her team was proximity to the device.

Carrie is a ghost, or something close to it. She doesn't really exist, can phase through most baricades, and only ever appears in spooky situations or when you are stoned.
