Dr. Romero

Theme: Hello Zepp + Overture

Dr. Johnathan Romero

Dr. Romero is a scientist completely without morals. He likely had some at one point, but through an unknown accident he gained knowledge of the afterlife. Since then he has let go of his entire moral compass in pursuit of his research. He came across as downright terrifying to the majority of the Spiral Fang’s crew.   His opinion of death and murder is drastically looser than most of the cast so far, as he actively attempted murder of most of his minions via installing bombs in their head, and he could see the ghost Pokémon Jace attempted to use against him. He was able to bypass a steel door without it opening, and once the Spiral Fang crashed into the bridge, he detonated it, presumably killing the majority of the crew. His immediate vicinity was empty of ghosts, which was notable because outside of a roughly 6ft area, ghosts absolutely swarmed him.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Dr. Romero is not the most physically fit, and could best be described as stout. He wears big round glasses with thick lenses.

Physical quirks

Dr. Romero is treated as a Ghost type Pokemon when taking damage. He is immune to Normal and Fighting, but weak to Ghost and Dark. He is also immune to the effect of Curse.

Special abilities

Anyone hit by Dr. Romero's attacks becomes Suppressed, and anyone who hits him will find their move Disabled. He is capable of pinning the shadows of his enemies to the ground with Shadow Tag.   The doctor, like most ghosts, never makes a sound unless he wants to. He can also phase through solid matter.   Special Active: Haunted Wounds, World of Darkness, Blackout Strike, Deadly Gambit

Specialized Equipment

Dr. Romero can reach through the Spirit World to directly attack with the moves Shadow Punch, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, and Phantom Force. He prefers to attack with Shadow Punch when he can be bothered to, since he doesn't usually feel threatened enough to use stronger moves.  When using his ghost attacks, Romero's arms become shadowy and indistinct.   The doctor is also capable of releasing evil energy blasts, extremely harmful to other ghosts, in the form of the moves Feint Attack, Night Slash, Dark Pulse, and Night Daze  Finally, Dr. Romero is able to place various curses on his foes using the moves Hypnosis, Will-o-Wisp, Curse, Spite, and Hex. These moves specifically are able to hit two targets at once instead of just one.
