Raven's Rook

In the middle of a canyon that seems to go on forever, populated by scraggly trees, watching ravens and an odd chill, lies a well-carved cavern guarded by reaper angels. While there is fine, dark sand underfoot and yellow and orange stone for walls, they seem to shimmer in the dusklight like diamonds hit with passing light, allowing for visitors to see their way.   There is a labyrinth of circular tunnels, in the centre of which sits the Lord of Ravens on a throne of black stone. His spectres and angels are constantly moving through his sanctum to get to their duties or report to him. There are clocks on every wall, scales to his right and paperwork to his left, and a skylight right above his head through which ravens enter and leave. They perch on his throne or on a set of constructed wooden perches for them at a clear area of the room. The air is even colder in the tunnels, and they echo with the sound of rustling feathers and the chimes and deep bells of the various clocks.
